The library had been at the center of a discussion about future plans for the downtown area. Now that the board has made its choice official, city leaders can move forward with other ideas and plans.

As regional vice president, she had administrative oversight for programs and staff for the Bloomington-based Central Illinois region and the Rockford-based northern Illinois region.
