A recent letter writer in The Pantagraph asked if the words “under God” shouldn’t be removed from our Pledge of Allegiance, a question that has been asked many times previously without any action being taken.
I believe there is a more important question concerning the pledge. Should we not wonder about the final phrase in the pledge which states “with liberty and justice for all”? In a country where a child in the womb lives for nine months under the threat of death from legalized abortion, shouldn’t we consider whether “liberty and justice for all” is a lie?
