I want to thank County Board Member Paul Segobiano for his over 45 years of service. His impact on the county is undeniable. However, as we look to the future, we need a fresh voice representing the most diverse district in the County. Shayna Watchinski is that voice.
District 8 needs Shayna because she will hit the ground running on the board by being a relentless voice for the voiceless, a strong advocate for our historic neighborhoods and an uncompromising proponent of much-needed county transparency. She supports the common sense idea to move the county’s meeting times to the evening — so the public can actually watch how their representatives are spending taxpayer dollars.
Shayna welcomes the opportunity to meet with residents to hear their ideas about how to make our county more transparent, responsive and inclusive. I encourage the voters of District 8 to support Shayna on Tuesday, March 20.
