Chicago Cubs outfielder Reed Johnson will join teammate Aramis Ramirez in a rehab assignment with the Chiefs in Saturday's 5 p.m. home game against Beloit.
Johnson, who will also play in Sunday's 2 p.m. game at Peoria, was batting .268 with four home runs and 16 RBIs when he was placed on the disabled list June 20 because of lower back spasms.
