EAST MOLINE - Lissa Tommerdahl won the 500-yard freestyle in 5 minutes, 14.97 seconds to lead the Normal Community High School girls swim team to a third-place finish with 194.5 points in the 12-team Panther Invitational Saturday. Moline won with 216 points.

Tommerdahl also placed second in the 200 freestyle in 2:01.25.

Other NCHS placers were Laura Gibson in the 100 butterfly (third, 1:06.68), Shelby Brown in diving (fourth, 312.55), Lacey Alvis in the 200 individual medley (fifth, 2:23.99) and 100 backstroke (1:06.20) and Morgan Buechele in the 100 breaststroke (fifth, 1:15.56).

The Ironmen took fourth in the 200 freestyle relay (1:51.42), fifth in the 200 medley relay (2:03.87) and fifth in the 400 freestyle relay (3:59.35).
