Coaches: Illinois State's Tim Jankovich is in his first season at ISU and has a 109-74 record in seven seasons as a head coach. Bowling Green's Louis Orr is in his first season with the Falcons and has a 104-84 record in seven seasons as a head coach.

About the Falcons: Bowling Green was picked to finish last in the six-team Mid-American Conference East Division in a preseason poll of league media members. The Falcons have been off for 10 days since a 64-60 overtime loss at Northern Colorado. Ryne Hamblet, the only senior on the roster, is a graduate of Von Steuben High School in Chicago. Bowling Green has won two games on the road, including a 69-67 victory at Cincinnati in the Peggy Cronin Classic on Nov. 11 in which redshirt freshman Chris Knight scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Knight, who turns 21 next month and sat out last season for academic reasons, was named the tournament's most valuable player. Freshman reserve Joe Jakubowski is the Falcons' top 3-point shooter, making 12 of 27 attempts (.444).
