Olympia defeats Prairie Central

Taylor Eichelberger scored 13 points and had eight digs to lead the Olympia High School volleyball team to an 18-25, 25-7, 25-15 victory over Prairie Central in a Corn Belt Conference match at Fairbury on Thursday night.

Elizabeth Alberts had 12 assists and Sarah Martin seven kills for the Spartans, who improved to 16-9 overall and 7-3 in the conference.

Emalee Slagel had 10 digs for Prairie Central (1-16-3, 0-10). Katie Rathbun scored seven points, Kenber Galloway had nine kills, Jackie Sheppard seven blocks and Kari Diller nine assists for the Hawks.

EPG tops Fieldcrest

Mattie Fairchild served eight points and handed out 18 assists as El Paso-Gridley defeated Fieldcrest, 25-13, 25-21, in a Heart of Illinois Conference match at El Paso.

El Paso-Gridley (14-6, 8-2) got seven kills from Marqui Fairchild while Brittany Kiefer registered 15 digs.

Fieldcrest was led by Kayla Conroy with 16 assists and four service points.

Ridgeview beats Heyworth

Taylor Zimmerman served nine points and had 12 digs to lead Ridgeview to a 27-25, 25-22 victory over Heyworth in a Heart of Illinois match at Heyworth.

Heather Zimmerman had 15 assists, Cari Fairchild four kills and Lindsey Johnson two blocks for the Mustangs (7-13, 3-6).

Audie Springer had 15 assists and Courtney Feger had 12 digs for the Hornets (8-15, 3-7). Alex Roberts added nine kills.

Lexington tops Blue Ridge

Maggie Johansen had team highs of seven kills and three blocks to lead Lexington in a 25-17, 26-24 Heart of Illinois Conference win over Blue Ridge at Lexington.

Mandy Feit finished with 14 digs for the Minutemen (13-9, 9-2) while Liz Ward had eight service points and Megan Sleep added 11 assists.

Sara Hurd had 12 kills to pace Blue Ridge (14-8, 7-3). Devin Houser had 16 digs for the Knights and Sarah Lytel added 23 assists.

LeRoy rallies for victory

Jill Morgan had nine kills and three blocks to lead LeRoy to a 25-18, 12-25, 25-21win over GCMS in a Heart of Illinois Conference match at Gibson City.

Sierra Nichols had 10 service points, including three aces, for the Panthers (7-16, 2-7) while Kirstie Clawson added 16 assists. Jorgia Hanlin finished with 16 digs for LeRoy.

Kristen Hood had seven kills and one block to lead GCMS (4-15, 0-9). Mel McDevitt recorded 16 digs.

Kate Gramley added 10 service points, including four aces, for the Falcons while Carley Kemmer added 12 assists.

Flanagan tops Fisher

Megan Laughlin had 10 kills and two blocks to lead Flanagan over Fisher, 25-10, 25-14, in a Heart of Illinois Conference contest at Flanagan.

Flanagan (22-5, 8-1) got eight assists and five digs from Liz Hillman while Karrie Timmerman recorded eight service points, including two aces, for the Falcons.

Fisher (3-18) was led by Brooke Clemmons, who had seven service points and two blocks for the Bunnies.

Dwight gets by Coal City

Katy Feddersen got 13 assists and scored five points to lead Dwight to a 25-20, 25-20 victory over Coal City in an Interstate Eight Conference match at Dwight.

Carly Perschnick had 11 kills and Kelsey O'Donnell had 10 assists for the Trojans (14-10-2, 3-4). Stephanie Humbert added nine kills and scored seven points.

CPCI stays perfect in SVC

Shelby Clubb had three kills, four digs and three blocks to lead the Timberwolves as CPCI improved to 22-7 overall and 7-0 in Sangamon Valley Conference play with a 25-12, 25-9 victory over Iroquois West at Gilman.

Paige Winger added 12 service points and four assists for CPCI while Hannah Dodd finished with eight service points and four assists. Heidi McKean led the Timberwolves with six kills.

Kelsey Pool had five digs, two kills, two assists and three service aces to lead Iroquois West (3-17, 2-5).

Mahomet-Seymour beats Rantoul

Rachel Ruedi served 10 points, had nine assists and four kills to lead Mahomet-Seymour to a 25-10, 25-14 victory over Rantoul in a Corn Belt Conference match at Rantoul.

Laura Morris scored seven points and had four kills and Brittny Taylor had seven digs and seven points for the Bulldogs (18-4, 8-2). Daniella Bunch had two blocks for the winners.

Monticello trips Clinton

Rachel Peterson contributed seven kills and Lauralee Williams has 10 digs in Clinton's 25-19, 26-24 loss to Monticello at Clinton.

Illini Central prevails

Jessie Blane scored 14 points, including three aces, and Kylie Lynn had 11 points to lead Illini Central to 25-19, 25-16 victory over Tri-City at Buffalo.

Kelsey Laugel had 11 assists and Annie Cox eight kills for the Cougars.

Hartem defeats Mount Pulaski

Abby Olson had 12 kills, Jillyn Cross 25 assists and Chelsey Rankin 11 service points to spark Hartsburg-Emden (18-3) to a 25-17, 25-17 triumph at Mount Pulaski.

Chelsey Seitz had 13 digs to lead Mount Pulaski.

PBL gets by Watseka

Senior Lauren Boman scored 15 points with three aces and had 23 assists to lead PBL past Watseka 21-25, 25-22, 26-24 in a Sangamon Valley Conference match at Paxton.

Jenna Seibring had 13 kills and Emily Vest had 11 kills for the Panthers. Rachel Kleinsteiber had two blocks for PBL (12-4, 4-1).

Ali Cowan scored 12 points with two aces and 18 digs to pace Watseka. Sarah Nutter had 12 kills and six blocks and Andrea McCann had six assists.
