Zac Thrasher rushed for three touchdowns and Donald Brown had his 12th interception of the season as the Twin City Dawgs downed the St. Louis Spirit, 37-14, Saturday night in Great Midwest Football League action at Chenoa.

Thrasher's longest TD run was a 37-yarder and capped a 91-yard drive. He helped the Dawgs finish the regular season with a 9-1 record. They have a first-round bye in the playoffs and will host a second-round game on Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. at Chenoa.

Jeremy Byrd made a key play early in the fourth quarter when he tackled a St. Louis ballcarrier in the end zone for a safety. It pushed Twin City's lead to 23-14 with 12 minutes, 18 seconds remaining.

The Dawgs scored twice more on a 7-yard run by Ron Childs and a 29-yard interception return by David Holmes.
