Stout makes all-freshman team

Normal Community High School graduate Hannah Stout, a middle blocker on the University of Tulsa volleyball team (24-7), has been named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. She has averaged a team-leading 1.11 blocks per game to go with 2.1 kills on .282 hitting.

Naborowski named All-Region

Central Catholic High School graduate Megan Naborowski, a senior at the University of Illinois-Springfield, has been named to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Region V All-Region Volleyball Team.

The 5-foot-9 outside hitter led UIS with a school record 561 kills (3.69 per game) and 691 digs. She was second in solo blocks (29) and third in aces (46). She had a school single-season record 723 digs in 2006. In just two years, she climbed to second in school history for both career kills (1,062) and digs (1,414).

Laughlin makes SEC

all-freshman team

Flanagan High School graduate Megan Laughlin, a middle blocker for University of South Carolina volleyball team, has been named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team. She started in every match and led the 14-15 Gamecocks with 42 aces, ranking her sixth in the SEC. She stood second on the team in hitting percentage (.286), blocks (0.92 bpg) and points (389.5). Her 2.71 kills per game ranked third. She was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Oct. 8, the only Gamecock ever to earn the honor.
