BLOOMINGTON -- Wide receiver Peter Warrick, who played this past season for the Bloomington Extreme of the Indoor Football League, has signed with the California Redwoods of the new United Football League. The UFL season begins Oct. 8.

Warrick, a former All-American out of Florida State, led the Extreme with 56 receptions for 606 yards and 13 touchdowns. The 32-year-old Warrick played six seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Seattle Seahawks.

The Redwoods are based in San Francisco and will play their home games at AT&T Park, home of the baseball Giants. The UFL also has teams in New York, Las Vegas and Orlando, Fla. The league will play on Thursday and Friday nights, with its championship game on Thanksgiving weekend.
