Patrick Kniery scored four goals as Central Catholic handled Calvary Baptist, 8-1, at Normal.

John Zappa added two goals and Hayden Hoerdemann and Tony Beoletto one each for the Saints (8-2-1). Andy Beoletto led Central Catholic with two assists.

Bloomington edges Mattoon

Jordan Masemore's unassisted goal lifted Bloomington to a 1-0 win over Big 12 Conference rival Mattoon (6-4) at Mattoon.

Goalie Shailer Thomas had six saves for the Raiders, who improved to 5-4-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12.

NCHS ties Springfield

Springfield's Chris Faller spoiled a two-goal performance by Normal Community's Aaron Tipsord by netting a goal with seven minutes left for a 2-2 tie in a nonconference match in Normal.

Tipsord's first goal came just under two minutes into the second half to tie the game 1-1. His second goal put the Ironmen (3-3-6) ahead 2-1 at the 50-minute mark. Springfield is 10-3-1 overall.
