PEORIA - Rehabbing Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez drove in the Peoria Chiefs' only run of the game with a sixth-inning hit in a 4-1 Midwest League loss to the Beloit Snappers at O'Brien Field on Saturday.
Beloit jumped on Chiefs starter Aaron Shafer (5-5) in the third inning, turning four hits, a walk and an error into all four of its runs.
Peoria collected eight hits, all singles, but managed only a 1-for-7 performance with runners in scoring position.
Reed Johnson, also on rehab assignment from the Cubs, walked in his only plate appearance in the first inning.
