GENEVA -- Chicago Cubs Aramis Ramirez doubled and scored two runs while Reed Johnson singled and scored in their first rehab assignments as the Peoria Chiefs rolled to a 7-1 Midwest League win over the Kane County Cougars in front of 14,872 fans at Elfstrom Stadium.
Rebel Ridling had two hits and three RBIs while Kyler Burke and Nelson Perez each drove in a pair of runs.
Peoria starter Jeff Beliveau (3-2) handcuffed the Cougars on three hits over five innings while striking out six.
Ramirez doubled in his first at-bat and scored the Chiefs first run as Peoria took a 2-0 first inning lead. Johnson singled d to lead off the Chiefs three-run third inning and was later hit by a pitch in the fourth.
