EAST PEORIA -- Brittany Taylor's walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the BNGSA Red Hots 18-under travel team to a 3-2 win over the Peoria Express in opening-round play of the NSA State Tournament at East Peoria on Friday.

Alaina Behrends was 4-for-4 while Kathy Brown (6-4) struck out six in the complete-game victory.
