Three goals by K.T. Zapushek powered the Eureka College women's soccer team to its first victory in school history, a 5-4 decision over visiting Rockford College Thursday.
The Red Devils (1-2) also received goals from Katie Huizinga and Jessica Smith. Huizinga also had two assists while Megan Waggoner, Zapushek and Smith had one apiece.
Wendy Murphy had two goals to lead Rockford (2-1), which also received goals from Kelly Madison and Megan Stoll. Sarah Mueller had two assists and Stoll one.
Lincoln Christian shut out
Blackburn downed host Lincoln Christian in men's soccer action, 5-0, at Lincoln.
Mitch Thoelle had two goals. Aaron Guzman, Andrews Ansah and Ahmedt Haji had one apiece.
