TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- J.T. Brubaker allowed just seven hits over eight innings, leading the Altoona Curve over the Trenton Thunder in a 4-2 win on Wednesday.

Yeudy Garcia struck Estevan Florial out with a runner on first to end the game for his sixth save of the season.

Brubaker (8-6) allowed two runs while striking out six and walking one to get the win.

Altoona broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth when it crossed the plate for three runs, including a single by Elvis Escobar that scored Jordan George.

After the teams traded runs, the Thunder cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Thairo Estrada hit an RBI single, bringing home Jeff Hendrix.

Justus Sheffield (7-7) went 4 1/3 innings, allowing two runs and four hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out six and walked one.
