PEARL, Miss. (AP) -- Gabriel Guerrero had four hits and two RBI, as the Pensacola Blue Wahoos exploded for a season-high eight extra-base hits in an 8-3 win over the Mississippi Braves on Monday.
Pensacola took the lead in the first when Gavin LaValley hit a three-run home run and Guerrero hit an RBI double.
After Mississippi scored a run in the first on a home run by Austin Riley, the Braves cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Andres Santiago hit an RBI single, driving in Tyler Marlette.
Pensacola right-hander Daniel Wright (2-1) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on four hits over six innings. Opposing starter Kyle Wright (0-2) took the loss in the Southern League game after allowing four runs and four hits over one inning.
Pensacola hit a season-high seven doubles in its victory.
Riley homered and singled, scoring two runs for the Braves.
