CHAMPAIGN - Single-game tickets for Illinois' season opener against Missouri and the Nov. 15 home game against Ohio State sold out Tuesday, the first day tickets went on sale to the general public.

Last season, Illinois sold out four consecutive games, the first time since 1986 that four games had sold out in the same season. It is the fifth sellout in the past two seasons.

The Fighting Illini opens its season at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 30 against Missouri at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.
