BLOOMINGTON — The error-prone Bloomington Bobcats dropped a 7-0 decision to the Northern Indiana Oilmen in the second game of their Midwest Collegiate League playoff series on Wednesday at Jack Horenberger Field.
The Bobcats committed five errors while three Bloomington pitchers combined to issue seven walks, three wild pitches and a balk.
The Oilmen took full advantage by scoring twice in the fifth inning and once in the sixth before tacking on four insurance runs in the eighth.
The Bobcats loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth but could not convert the opportunity.
Nick Brune took the loss for Bloomington while Joe Graziano scattered five hits over seven innings to get the win for Northern Indiana.
The best-of-three semifinal is now tied at a game apiece with the series finale scheduled for Thursday in Whiting, Ind.
