FYI: No. 18-nationally ranked Illinois Wesleyan will look to extend a 12-game winning streak against an opponent that ranks last in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in scoring at 54.7 points per game. The Titans lead the league at 87.1. IWU also paces the CCIW in field goal percentage at .477 while the Pioneers are last at .341. Carroll has lost three straight.
The Pioneers, who were picked in the preseason to finish last in the CCIW, are led by 5-foot-6 senior Brittney Wald (12.7 ppg), 6-2 freshman Katie Rossetti (10.0) and 5-10 freshman Delaney Sjong (8.1). Rossetti also averages 8.0 rebounds. Last season, the Pioneers lost to IWU by scores of 92-56 and 85-45.
Wesleyan, which was picked to win the CCIW, is paced by Maddie Merritt (13.4 ppg), Molly McGraw (12.7), Rebekah Ehresman (10.1), Raven Hughes (8.3) and Ashley Schneider (7.8). McGraw's 1,368 career points rank fifth in school history. No. 4 on the list is Claire Sheehan at 1,378.
