NORMAL - The Illinois State gymnastics team closed the regular season Saturday with a fourth-place finish in the State of Illinois Classic at Redbird Arena.

Illinois (196.650) took first place followed by Northern Illinois (192.650), Illinois-Chicago (192.475) and ISU (191.975).

Hannah Deutsch led the Redbirds in scoring with a first place on the balance beam (9.850) and seventh in the floor exercise (9.825). Melissa Mann was second on the beam (9.825).

Deutsch and Mann were named to the All-State team based on their balance beam scores.
