Kansas downed the ISU women's swim team, 59-33, at San Juan, Puerto Rico.
"I am pleased with the effort the team gave," said ISU coach Steve Paska. "The intensity and focus they have experienced during practice has carried over to the meet."
The meet featured five sprint events and ISU was led by a trio of runners-up in Jenna Allie in the 50-meter freestyle (29.31), Lindsay Dinkelman in the 50 breaststroke (36.39) and Tracy Deyrell in the 200 individual medley (2:36.98).
"The trip to Puerto Rico has been a tremendous success," Paska said. "We have been blessed with a fantastic training facility in San Juan. The team has bonded as a group and the hospitality here has been wonderful; they have been so kind to us."
ISU was originally scheduled to compete in the Copa Coqui meet Sunday, but entry deadline requirements were not met.
