Junior guard Shea Feehan scored 40 points with seven 3-pointers Saturday as the Eureka College men's basketball team shot to an 82-66 win over MacMurray at Jacksonville.
Feehan made 11 of his 12 free throws in earning his third career 40-point game as the Red Devils improved to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
Hank Thomas added 25 points for Eureka, which broke a 26-all tie with a 14-4 run to finish the first half. Brent Long scored 19 and Michael Cameron added 17 for MacMurray (1-4, 0-2).
Reneau, Eureka women roll: Senior guard Hayley Reneay tallied 36 points as the Eureka College women surged to a 103-73 win at MacMurray.
Kennedy Dura added 19 points and 10 assists for the Red Devils (3-3, 1-1) while Ashley Harfst added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Samantha Sarnes chipped in 11 off the bench as Eureka broke the century mark for the first time in its 12 seasons as a SLIAC member.
