Titans' Rose named player
of the week in CCIW
Illinois Wesleyan’s Brady Rose was selected as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) men's basketball Player of the Week.
The senior guard from Bloomington scored 20 points with two rebounds and two assists in an 80-59 win over Millsaps. He contributed 24 points, three rebounds and six assists in a 123-104 win at Rhodes.
Baseball sets blood drive: The Illinois State baseball team will host its 13th annual blood drive, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, on Dec. 8 in the Redbird Room at Redbird Arena from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Feehan, Reneau win SLIAC awards: Eureka College junior Shea Feehan and senior Hayley Reneau have swept the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's and women's basketball Player of the Week awards.
Feehan is a repeat honoree after averaging 37.7 points in three nonconference victories last week. He broke Eureka's 60-year-old single-game scoring record with 49 points in a 103-89 victory at Knox on Sunday. Reneau scored 41 points in a 91-78 triumph over Monmouth.
Women's basketball falls: Hayley Reneau scored 18 points as the host Red Devils fell to Millikin, 82-73. Ashley Harfst chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds while Kennedy Dura added 13 points and Samantha Sarnes 11 for Eureka (2-2), which led 38-31 lead at halftime.
Devin Curry had 24 points for Millikin (3-1).
