BLOOMINGTON -Sophomore Jordan Zimmer scored 23 points to lead the Green to a 73-70 victory Thursday in Illinois Wesleyan's Green-White intrasquad basketball scrimmage at Shirk Center.

"Zimmer really shot the ball tremendously well and showed an ability to put the ball on the floor a little bit," IWU coach Ron Rose said. "I thought we showed some progress. It showed we have some depth."

Travis Rosenkranz added 16 points and Doug Sexauer 14 for the Green.

Junior Duncan Lawson paced the White with 16 points. Freshman Dan Oswald scored 12.

"Duncan, especially early, created a lot of positive things with his energy," said Rose. "Dan got into the flow the second half and showed he can shoot the ball."

Returning starter Sean Johnson did not play because of a minor ankle injury.
