CARBONDALE - Shannon McGlaughlin had 17 kills and Tabitha Visk added 13 to lead Illinois State in a 28-26, 25-22, 25-27, 25-15 loss to Southern Illinois in a Missouri Valley Conference match Saturday.

The Redbirds dropped to 12-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play, losing for the fifth time in their last six matches.

NCHS grad Jenny Menendez had a team-high 23 digs for ISU while BHS product Kristin Stauter led the Redbirds with 51 assists. Mallory Leggett added 11 kills and had 13 digs.
