BLOOMINGTON - The Bloomington Extreme indoor football team beefed up its receiving corps Wednesday with the signings of former Arena Football League star Javarus Dudley and ex-University of Illinois receiver DaJuan Warren.
Dudley caught 77 passes for 1,099 yards and 18 touchdowns in 11 games last year with the AFL's New Orleans VooDoo. The 6-foot, 190-pound Dudley also led the Orlando Predators in receiving in 2007 and was second on the team in 2006 with 78 catches for 1,035 yards and 14 TDs.
He caught 10 passes for a game-high 117 yards and four touchdowns in a 69-61 loss to the Chicago Rush in the 2006 Arena Bowl. Dudley has spent time in camps with the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons and was a Division I-AA All-American at Fordham University in 2003.
The 6-2, 225-pound Warren played at Illinois from 2004-2007, catching 49 passes for 506 yards and no touchdowns. He caught seven passes for 63 yards in 2007 as the Illini earned a Rose Bowl berth.
