Class 1A Boys

Tuscola Sectional

Where: Ironhorse Golf Course

Area teams: Central Catholic, Fieldcrest

Area individuals: Matt Schopp, LeRoy; Andrew Wuethrich, Kyle Fellner and C.J. Kool, Eureka; Austin Sproles and Kyle Scott, Tri-Valley; Jake Colmone and Mitch Ummel, El Paso-Gridley; Matt Dever, Prairie Central; Carson Denaro, Kevin Clore and Cody Warmoth, Fisher.

Keep an eye on: Central Catholic could battle with Champaign St. Thomas More for the title. St. Thomas More finished third in last year's state tourney. The Saints return three players from 2006 squad which took sixth at state.

Class 3A Boys

Pekin Sectional

Where: Lick Creek Golf Course

Area team: Normal Community

Area individuals: Ross Leary and Jordan Mueser, Normal West.

Keep an eye on: NCHS last qualified for state in 1992. Leary was part of West squad which finished fifth in last year's state tourney.

NOTE: The low three teams and eight individuals and ties not on qualifying teams advance to state.
