Tremont Regional

Where: Sunset Hills Golf Course, Pekin

Area teams: Central Catholic, Cornerstone Christian, Tri-Valley, El Paso-Gridley, Eureka, Flanagan-Cornell, Heyworth, LeRoy, Lexington, Fieldcrest, Roanoke-Benson, Olympia, Tremont

Keep an eye on: Veteran Central Catholic team has their eyes set on state tournament Oct. 17-18 at Prairie Vista.

Fisher Regional

Where: Railside Golf Club, Gibson City

Area teams: Clinton, Ridgeview, Prairie Central, Blue Ridge, Fisher, GCMS

Keep an eye on: Kevin Clore of Fisher was medalist in the Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament in leading the Bunnies to second.

Bishop McNamara Regional

Where: Kankakee Elks

Area teams: Dwight

Keep an eye on: Dwight finished second in the Interstate Eight Conference Tournament, led by Logan Krople, and gets a chance for revenge against Peotone.

Petersburg Porta Regional

Where: Shambolee Golf Course

Area teams: Hartsburg-Emden/Delavan, Illini Central, Mount Pulaski

Bismarck-Henning Regional

Where: Harrison Park Golf Course, Danville

Area teams: Iroquois West, PBL

Keep an eye on: Zack Villwock of Iroquois West is a two-time sectional qualifier.

Class 2A Boys

Bloomington Regional

Where: Prairie Vista Golf Course

Area teams: Bloomington, University High, Pontiac

Keep an eye on: U High starts its drive for a sixth straight state title. BHS is coming off Big 12 Conference championship, led by medalist Alex Burge.

Mount Zion Regional

Where: Moweaqua Golf Course

Area teams: Lincoln

Keep an eye on: Lincoln earned regional title last season. The Railers' Brant Coyne was fifth in last week's Central State Eight Conference Tournament.

Mahomet-Seymour Regional

Where: Lake of the Woods Golf Course

Area teams: Mahomet-Seymour

Keep an eye on: Seth Trolia of Mahomet-Seymour qualified as an individual for last year's state tourney as freshman and finished tied for 33rd.

Peoria Notre Dame Regional

Where: Kellogg Golf Course

Area teams: Streator

Keep an eye on: Junior Josh Gass led Streator with sixth-place finish in NCIC Tournament.

Class 3A Boys

Normal West Regional

Where: Ironwood Golf Course

Area teams: Normal West, Normal Community

Keep an eye on: Senior Ross Leary was part of Normal West squad which placed fifth in last year's state tourney.
