The Bloomington Astros 12-under baseball team finished in 17th place in the 98-team American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament last month in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Seeded 32nd, the Astros reached the fourth round of the single-elimination tournament. Including pool play, the Astros went 6-3 in the tournament that included teams from California, Texas, Hawaii, Missouri, Michigan and Georgia. The Astros hit 17 home runs in the nine games.

Team members include Steven Bradford, Charlie Cerny, Kent Frantz, Cory Hartema, Jack Hester, Levi Justice, Kyle Lantman, Connor Leathers, Tyler May, Nick Norton, Reed Rogers and Austin Tittle. Coaches are Evan Leathers, Jim Tittle and Todd Cerny.
