NORMAL - Junior Grant Touma made the final regular season game for Calvary Baptist one to remember. Touma sank seven 3-pointers en route to a school single-game record of 54 points and in the process established a school career standard in leading the Crusaders to an easy 88-59 ECIC victory over DeLand-Weldon at Normal on Tuesday.
Touma netted 26 points in the first quarter alone to give Calvary (14-10, 10-2) a 30-17 lead. The Crusaders, who clinched at least a share of the ECIC championship, boosted the advantage to 66-46 by the end of the third quarter.
Josh McCorkle added 20 points and Scott Liu 11 for the Crusaders.
Touma's 54 points broke the previous record of 52 set by Evan Fleming and his 1,851 career total surpassed David Orns' record of 1,826 set from 1991-95.
