Class 1A

At Pecatonica: Dwight (32-7), in the Elite Eight for the first time, faces Lanark Eastland (36-3) at 7 p.m. today. Eastland's only state trip came in 2003 when it placed fourth. The winner meets Toledo Cumberland (27-3) or Valmeyer (23-7) in Friday's 9:30 a.m. state semifinal at Redbird Arena.

At Peoria Heights: CPCI (27-10), which reached the state quarterfinals in 2005, can return with a win over Sciota West Prairie (31-8) at 6 p.m. today. West Prairie last reached the Elite Eight in 2006. The winner here faces Ashland A.C. Central (32-7) or Warrensburg-Latham (28-10) in Friday's 10:30 a.m. state semifinal at Redbird Arena.
