Whitney Scurlock had 18 points to lead four players in double figures as Prairie Central opened the season with an 81-35 victory over Tri-Point in the Prairie Central Tournament on Monday in Fairbury.
Mandy Payne added 12 points with Kaley Corban and Paige Heiser contributing 10 apiece. Corban and Payne combined to force 20 turnovers for the Hawks, who held a 31-5 lead after the first quarter.
Livvy Phillips managed 18 points to lead Tri-Point (0-1).
Ridgeview 46, Iroquois West 43: Lauren Kellar scored 22 points as Ridgeview held off Iroquois West (1-0) in the Prairie Central Tournament opener at Fairbury.
Audra Fink led the Raiders (0-1) with 20 points.
Pontiac 43, Streator 28: Katie Legner had 20 points, including 11 in the opening quarter, to lead host Pontiac to a season-opening victory in the Turkey Tournament.
Katie Bates added eight points for Pontiac (1-0) while Megan Cravatta scored 10 points to lead Streator.
Mahomet-Seymour 48, LaSalle-Peru 29: Kelsey Donley scored 10 points to lead a balanced Bulldog attack as Mahomet-Seymour downed LaSalle-Peru at Pontiac.
Dani Bunch and Melissa Bolliger added eight points apiece for Mahomet-Seymour (1-0).
Decatur Christian 33, Cornerstone Christian 23: Junior guard Morgan Smith scored 15 points in Cornerstone's season opening loss at Decatur.
Sarah Gregory added 12 rebounds for Cornerstone (0-1).
Roanoke-Benson 46, Fieldcrest 42: Kelsey Sauder went for 25 points and 16 rebounds in Roanoke-Benson's season opening win at Roanoke .
Megan Winkler's 18 points led Fieldcrest (0-1).
Fisher 68, Judah Christian 63: Kristi Morgan scored 15 points to lead four Bunnies in double figures as host Fisher knocked off Judah Christian in the Falcon/Bunnie Tip-Off Tournament..
Savannah Piety added 14 points, Caitlin Arnold finished with 11 points and Madison Bayler had 10 points.
PBL 48, Danville Schlarman 18: Ally Edwards had 12 points and teammate Taylor Rubarts added six assists and five steals in PBL's season-opening win over Danville Schlarman in the Falcon/Bunnie Tip-Off tournament at Fisher.
GCMS 27, Wilmington 25: Sidney Overman's 13 points led the way as GCMS survived a scoreless first quarter to pull out a Falcon/Bunnie Tip-Off win at Gibson City.
GCMS (1-0) outscored Wilmington (0-1) 27-20 over the final three quarters.
Dwight 41, St. Anne, 28: Chaney Tambling led Dwight with 12 points in a season-opening Falcon/Bunnie Tip-Off tournament win over St. Anne at Gibson City.
Dee-Mack 35, Henry 33: Kaleigh Beaty scored 16 point and teammate Lauren Cornwell scored 10 in Deer Creek-Mackinaw's season-opening win at Mackinaw.
Anna Jacobs led all players with 14 rebounds for the Chiefs (1-0).
East Peoria 73, Illini Central 37: East Peoria doubled a slim halftime lead in the third quarter, finishing with nine three pointers in a win over Illini Central in Peoria.
CPCI 42, Momence 31: Taylor Redeker scored 19 points and Haley Dodd added 11 for CPCI in a Timberwolf Tip-Off Tournament game at Cissna Park.
