Brief summaries of Pantagraph-area boys basketball games played on Nov. 23.

LeRoy 53, Iroquois West 48: James Brent score 16 points and Ethan Bruning added 15 to boost LeRoy over Iroquois West in opening round play of the Cornjerker Classic at Hoopeston. The Panthers built a 42-29 lead after three quarters and held off the Raiders down the stretch.

Iroquois West got 14 points and six assists from Coly Barham while Aaron Thomas added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Tri-Valley 59, Clinton 51: Gabe Cripe sank five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 31 points as Tri-Valley downed Clinton in Interstate Classic opening round play at Paxton.

Jordan Good hit three 3-pointers to pace Clinton with 13 points.

Coal City 51, Prairie Central 49: Prairie Central was tied with Coal City after three quarters (39-39), before the Coalers edged the Hawks in the GCMS Thanksgiving Tournament. Josh Fields was top Prairie Central scorer with 12 points. Teammate Austin Stephens added eight.

Lincoln 74, Cahokia 50: Jordan Nelson and Ben Brackney scored 22 points each to drive host Lincoln past Cahokia in the Lincoln/Eaton RR Tournament. Brackney, a Bucknell recruit, added 10 rebounds.

Tri-Point 58, GCMS 49, OT: Junior Danny Olson scored 31 points to lift Tri-Point past host Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley in overtime in the GCMS Thanksgiving Tournament. GCMS received 15 points apiece from Austin Borton and Tyler Buhs.

Springfield Calvary 52, Hartsburg-Emden 45: Sophomore Cody Bolen led all Hartsburg-Emden scorers with 17 points in a season-opening loss at the Warrior Classic at Athens. Devon Swart added 10 points for Hartem.

Rantoul 61, Blue Ridge 54: Jack Plunk scored 19 points for Blue Ridge as the Knights fell to Rantoul in the first round of the GCMS Thanksgiving Tournament at Gibson City. Tanner Trent had 10 points for Blue Ridge.

PBL 72, Armstrong-Potomac 44: Dylan Overstreet led all scorers with 20 points as PBL opened up the Interstate Classic with a win over Armstrong-Potomac at Paxton. The Panthers got scoring from 11 players, including 10 points from Conner Allen.

Manteno 56, CPCI 35: Manteno held all CPCI scorers to single digits as the Panthers gained the Interstate Classic victory. Reed Anderson was top Timberwolves’ scorer with eight.
