EUREKA - Junior Mike Hallstein poured in a game-high 23 points as Olympia opened its Corn Belt Conference basketball season with a 51-41 victory over Eureka on Friday night.
Spencer Pratt added 13 points and five rebounds and Colt Stroud chipped in nine points and six boards for the Spartans (3-1), who outscored Eureka from the free throw line, 24-4. Alex Becker grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for the Spartans.
Brandon Schrock paced Eureka (2-2) with 10 points.
