LINCOLN — Senior Isaiah Bowers scored 20 points Friday night to lead Lincoln High School's basketball team to a 37-34 nonconference victory over Normal West.
The Railers (24-5) outscored West 17-11 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win. Titus Cannon added six points for Lincoln, which trailed 12-7 after one quarter, 14-10 at the half and 23-20 after three quarters.
Bowers also had four rebounds and four assists for Lincoln, which shot 33 percent from the field to 30.6 percent for Class 4A No. 6-ranked West (21-7).
The Wildcats were led by 11 points and 10 rebounds from 6-foot-9 junior Francis Okoro. Shea Cupples added nine points and Nate Duckworth eight.
West turned the ball over 17 times, six more than Lincoln.
"It was just bad, uncharacteristic passing," West coach Brian Cupples said. "We just didn't take care of it. We still had a lead at the end of the third quarter, but we just had some really bad untimely turnovers.
"We competed like crazy. We just struggled passing the ball."
