Lauren Shanks had 23 points and 10 rebounds Monday night to lead Central Catholic High School's girls basketball team to a 61-53 nonconference victory over Decatur St. Teresa at Bloomington.
Lillie Foley added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Saints (3-2), who trailed 15-5 after the first quarter. Bailey Coffman chipped in 11 points and three blocked shots, while Abbey Davis had 10 points.
Katie Steinman led in assists with five.
Normal West 46, Pontiac 35: Balanced scoring helped Normal West to a nonconference win at Pontiac. Junior Jess Jacobs led the Wildcats with eight points, seven coming in the fourth quarter as West pulled away.
Ayanna Gibbs had six rebounds for the Wildcats (3-2). Sophomore Cam Feddern had a game-high 18 points for Pontiac.
Heyworth 88, Fieldcrest 54: Chassidy Hays scored 20 points in the first half en route to a game-high 30 as the Hornets claimed a Heart of Illinois Conference win at Minonk. Stephanie Brown added 25 points for Heyworth.
Lexi Jochums and Emma Lorton each scored 12 points for Fieldcrest.
El Paso-Gridley 66, Tri-Valley 29: Aubrey Staton contributed 24 points, eight steals, seven rebounds and four assists to lead EPG to a HOIC win at El Paso. Cheyenne Carr added 10 points for the Titans (3-0).
Lisbeth Kussman and Regan Danko each scored five for Tri-Valley (2-4).
Ridgeview 49, Blue Ridge 13: River Rosales netted 16 points to lead the Mustangs to an HOIC victory at Colfax. Kelly Jones added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Jenna Mozingo led Blue Ridge with eight points.
Fisher 45, Lexington 41: Sidney Hood scored a game-high 20 points to lead Fisher to the HOIC victory at Lexington. Becca Clanton added 15 points for the Bunnies. Layken McGuire led Lexington with 15 points and Jayden Standish added 11.
Dee-Mack 38, LeRoy 30: Shelby Debolt's 13 points led a balanced attack as Deer Creek-Mackinaw earned the HIOC win at LeRoy. Meredith Sidwell added 10 for the Chiefs. LeRoy received 12 points and six rebounds from Megan Woltkamp.
Eureka 46, GCMS 33: Tessa Leman buried four 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead Eureka to the HOIC win at Gibson City. The Hornets (5-1, 2-0) opened up a 40-23 third quarter lead after leading 20-16 at halftime. Claire Retherford had 14 points for GCMS.
Roanoke-Benson 47, Olympia 42: Maddie Monge scored 28 points and her sister, Taylor Monge, had nine in Roanoke-Benson's nonconference home win. Taylor Monge had eight rebounds and Bailey Leman six. Olympia was led by Kaiden Finck's 13 points.
Midwest Central 54, Tremont 39: Vanessa Ehnle had 16 points for Tremont, but the Turks fell in a nonconference game at Tremont.
Lincoln 56, Mattoon 26: Emma Konczyk scored 14 points and Kennedy Lolling added 12 to lead the Railsplitters to the win at Lincoln. The Railers led 40-9 at the half.
Tolono Unity 43, Clinton 39: Alyssa Saulsberry scored 17 points in Clinton's nonconference loss at Tolono Unity.
Okaw Valley 49, Mount Pulaski 41: Skylar Hayes scored 20 points and Savanah Moore grabbed seven rebounds in the Hilltoppers' loss at Mount Pulaski.
