Leah Anderson and Ellie Weltha each had six kills as the Bloomington High School volleyball team defeated Intercity rival Normal West, 25-16, 25-19, Tuesday night in the semifinals of the Class 4A Centennial Regional at Champaign.

The third-seeded Purple Raiders advanced to face No. 2 seed Pekin in Thursday's 6 p.m. title match. Corinna Jones had 15 assists and two blocks for BHS. The Raiders also received 10 digs from Bailey McGill and 10 service points from Grace Sanders.

Kayla Johnson had six kills for West (15-20). Samantha Williams contributed 11 digs and Kaylor Helm eight assists.

Iron net 30th win: Normal Community received seven kills and nine digs from MaKenna Barnahart in a 25-12, 25-13 semifinal win over Rock Island in the Class 4A Ottawa Regional at Ottawa.

Jamie Vasilou added 14 assists for the top-seeded Iron, who improved to 30-5 and face Moline in Thursday's 6 p.m. title match. Purdue recruit Grace Cleveland had three aces and three blocks for NCHS.


U High advances: Jess McDowell had nine kills and Isabel Schaefbauer 18 assists to lead top-seeded University High past Prairie Central, 25-22, 25-11, in the semifinals of the Class 3A Prairie Central Regional at Fairbury.

Amber Juarez led in digs with five and Cheyenne Petersen had two blocks for U High (24-10), which meets fifth-seeded Intercity rival Central Catholic for the title at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Saints post win: Central Catholic advanced to the title game with a 25-20, 25-11 win over Olympia.

Junior outside hitter Mallory Bergbower led the Saints with nine kills. Kate Moorman-Wolfe dished out 21 assists with Emily Butt contributing 16 digs.

Lincoln moves on: Grace Bossingham had 14 kills and Kaelyn Froebe added 11 in second-seeded Lincoln's 25-22, 23-25, 25-17 semifinal win over Paris in the Class 3A Mattoon Regional. Morgan Lolling had a team-high 31 assists and Mackenzie Antoine 14 digs for the Railers, who face No. 3 seed Mattoon in Thursday's title match.

Clinton falls: Clinton's season ended in the semis of the Class 3A Rochester Regional with a 25-17, 25-17 loss to Mount Zion. Delaney Woodbury had 11 assists and six digs for the Maroons.


Tri-Valley cruises: Tri-Valley will face tournament host El Paso-Gridley on Thursday after defeating GCMS, 25-7, 25-16 in the semifinals of the Class 2A EPG Regional at El Paso.

Hannah Clayton led the Vikings with eight kills and six blocks. Tri-Valley (26-5) also had 11 digs from Ryleigh Warfel and 23 assists from Lauren Gilmore. Summer Roesch had nine digs for GCMS (5-23).

EPG edges Fieldcrest: Morgan Ryder's 14 kills led El Paso-Gridley (15-12) to a 25-14, 26-24 semifinal win in the Class 2A EPG Regional. Cheyenne Carr had 21 assists for the Titans with Lauren Mool adding 15 digs.

Emma Petersen led Fieldcrest (16-15-1) with 10 kills and 18 digs.

Dee-Mack rolls: Carson Smalley had 11 kills and 12 digs to lead top-seeded Deer Creek-Mackinaw to a 25-11, 25-18 semifinal win over Rushville-Industry in the Class 2A Dee-Mack Regional at Mackinaw.

Morgan Burr added 16 assists, Addy Gruse three blocks and Shelby Debolt four aces for Dee-Mack (27-6-1). Dee-Mack meets fifth-seeded rival Tremont for the title Thursday.

Heyworth ousts PBL: Heyworth moved into Thursday's Class 2A Watseka Regional title match with a 25-13, 25-17 win over PBL at Watseka. Ariana Gentzler's eight kills led PBL. Heyworth will meet host Watseka in the finals.

Dwight falls: Lucy Reike had five kills for Dwight in a 25-10, 25-21 semifinal loss to Beecher at the Class 2A Kankakeee McNamara Regional. Karah Colbank had eight assists for Dwight.


Blue Ridge advances: Hannah Brackenhoff had 25 digs and Avery Fisher 23 assists as Blue Ridge defeated LeRoy, 25-10, 25-18 in the semifinals of the Class 1A LeRoy Regional.

Maddy Hopkins had eight kills for the Knights, who face Armstrong in Thursday's championship match. Kelly Smith had seven kills for LeRoy with Mackenzie Kerns contributing eight digs.

Armstrong tops Ridgeview: Mya Tinsley had a team-high five kills and River Rosales had 17 digs for Ridgeview in a 25-16, 25-9 Class 1A LeRoy Regional semifinal loss to Armstrong.

Lexington in title game: Lexington advanced to Thursday's Class 1A Schlarman Regional championship game with a 25-17, 25-12 win over DeLand-Weldon at Danville.

Tia Hardt had seven kills for the Minutemen with Emma White handing out 18 assists. Lauren Boyd added eight digs and nine service points. Lexington meets host Schlarman for the title.

Flanagan rallies for win: Flanagan-Cornell rallied to pull out a 20-25, 25-21, 29-27 win over host Grant Park in the Class 1A Grant Park Regional. Liberty Vollmer had eight kills, 19 assists, four aces and 14 service points in leading the Falcons into Thursday's 6 p.m.  title match against Milford.

Hartem downs Delavan: Wisconsin-Green Bay recruit Anna Hayes notched 13 kills for Hartsburg-Emden (30-6) during a 25-14, 25-13 victory over Delavan in the Class 1A Lewistown Regional. 

Grace Beekman added 15 assists, eight kills and two blocks for the Stags while Lexi Barry had seven digs and Shyanne Conrady had 13 service points. Emily Hall had 10 kills for Delavan. 

Hartem will face Lewistown in Thursday's 6 p.m. final.
