BLOOMINGTON -- The Bloomington Blaze unveiled its color scheme, logo and game jersey design on Tuesday.
The team's primary colors are red and black with gold accents.
The new logo is a flaming letter "B". It was designed by Skye Design Studios in New England.
"We are very pleased with how our new logo turned out," said Blaze owner Gary DelBuono. "We hope our fans will embrace it when the Blaze hits the ice this fall."
The home jersey is predominantly white with red on each sleeve with black trim and the logo in the center front. The road jersey is primarily black with red and white on the sleeves and the logo in the center front.
The new Central Hockey League team that will take the ice at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in October introduced its look on Facebook, where fans widely praised it.
Blaze general manager Jim Riggs said he is happy with it, too.
"I think the look is outstanding, in particular the black ones," he said.
The Blaze continues to work toward launching its website. Riggs said he hoped it would be ready next week.
Meanwhile, the CHL schedule continues to be a work in progress as well. Riggs said the league office is "fine tuning" each team's road schedule.
