TULSA, Okla. -- Two players who participated in Thursday night's 6-2 win for the Bloomington Blaze have left the team.

Forwards Matt Whitehead and Karl Fournier did not get on the team bus after the victory over Evansville in an apparent squabble with coach Paul Gardner over playing time.

Whitehead had a goal and six assists in 15 games, while Fournier had a goal and four assists in 15 games.

Also, the Blaze signed Rob Mattison as a backup goaltender before tonight's game against the Tulsa Oilers. He has been in the All-American Hockey League the past two seasons.

Bloomington, which is seeking its third straight win, is off Saturday before visiting Evansville on Sunday. .
