FARMER CITY (July 19, 2008)- Eric Smith survived a slow start to win the late model feature at the Farmer City Raceway on Friday night. Smith narrowly defeated Dennis Erb Jr., who held a lead during the race, and Tim Lance. Scott Schmitt took fourth and Derek Chandler fifth. Heat winners were Schmitt, Erb and Donny Walden.

Jeff Leka won the modified feature. Danny Schwartz took second, Cory Schwengel third, Jeb Friedman fourth and McKay Wenger fifth. Schwartz, Friedman and Rob Fuqua each won their respective heat races.

Joe Reed won the hornet feature by beating Bob Zbinden. Eric Wilson was third, Larry Hawk fourth and Matt Musgrave fifth.

Terry Miller took the checkered flag in the street stock feature over Jim Quinn. Greg Rubenacker was third, Jonah Buyno fourth and Chris Tackett fifth. Miller and Bob Simmons won their heat races.

Joel Funk earned the win in the sportsman feature as he beat Gary Turpin (second), Billy Nail (third) and Jason Unzicker (fourth). Funk and John Barnard were heat winners.

Bobby Pierce won the KidModz feature as he beat Justin Leka and Kyle Hammer.
