Friedman and Scott Bull started in the front row with Bull jumping out to an early lead. On a restart after a yellow flag, Friedman bolted to the front for good.
The midway part of the race saw some excitement as Matt Taylor went airborne in turn two and came down hard. It was necessary to cut off his car's roof to extract him.
The emergency crew transported him to the hospital for observation wearing a neck and back brace. He was reported to be conscious.
Earlier, Joe Harlan was the fastest of 25 drivers in the time trials at 12.619 seconds. The heat winners were Scott Bull, Friedman and Smith.
The semifeature was won by Chris Dick over Eric Fisher.
In the sportsman class, Jaret Lueck won the feature, followed by Joel Funk Jr. and Rod Rusher. Lueck and Jason Unzicker were heat winners.
The modified feature was won by Chad Osterhoff, followed by Chad Evans and Jeb Friedman. Lance Dehm and Jeff Curl were heat winners.
Jim Quinn and Terry Miller were the street stock heat winners.
