BLOOMINGTON — The Fargo Force got goals from seven different players and 14 saves from Ryan Bischel on Saturday, completing a weekend sweep of the depleted Central Illinois Flying Aces with an 8-0 victory before a crowd of 1,182 at Grossinger Motors Arena.
With five players sidelined by injuries, the Aces fell to 12-32-5 overall as their winless streak reached 15 games. Among those sitting out were goals leader Jakub Lacka, forward Wojciech Stachowiak and defenseman Charlie Raith.
Zach Stejskal made 31 saves for Central Illinois, which was outshot 87-28 during the two-game series that opened an eight-game homestand.
Wiliam Fallstrom, who played four games for the Bloomington Thunder last season, had two goals and an assist for Fargo (26-14-7), including a power play tally that gave the Force a 3-0 lead after one period.
Ben Meyers added a goal and an assist after scoring twice Friday. He converted a Fallstrom assist two minutes into the action to get Fargo started.
Central Illinois hosts the Muskegon Lumberjacks for 7:07 p.m. games Friday and Saturday.
