BLOOMINGTON — Pine Action Pro Shop 1 of Bloomington moved into the team scratch lead in the second weekend of the Illinois Bowling Association state tournament at Bloomington’s Pheasant Lanes.
The team had a 3,510 total to lead two other Bloomington squads, Pin Action Pro Shop 7 (3,460) and Gordie and the Kids (3,392). The handicap team leader continues to be The Whip from Princeville with a 3,594 total.
Tied for the handicap doubles lead are Flo Barns-Dean Barns of Johnston City and Cody Price-Derrick Frisby of Princeville at 1,538. The scratch doubles leaders are Scott Rains and Joe Rosemann (1,438).
The singles scratch leader is Freeport's Brandon Mooney (762), with Peotone's Russ Krueger leading the handicap division (803). Topping the all events divisions are Mooney (scratch, 1,497, six games) and Ethan Pullen of Monmouth (handicap, 2,278, nine games).
Gordie Glover of Bloomington rolled a 300 game and a 734 series, putting him fourth in scratch singles. Bloomington's Adam Johnson is third (745).
The tournament runs through May 6.
