5 years ago (2012): Lauren Koehl scored her first goal of the season to lift the Illinois State soccer team to a 1-0 Missouri Valley Conference win over Missouri State at Adelaide Street Field. Koehl scored in the 65th minute on a pass from Rachel Tejada across the penalty box.

15 years ago (2002): Illinois State volleyball captain Erin Jones was named State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for her record-breaking 24 kills in three games in a win against Southern Illinois and leading the Redbirds to a six-match winning streak.

25 years ago (1992): Eureka College running back Derrick Harris ranks third in the NAIA Division II rushing statistics. Harris, a junior, has rushed for 1,052 yards in seven games for a 150.29 average per game.

50 years ago (1967): Quarterback Roger Drach hit senior Phil Hilti on a 57-yard pass play as Saunemin upended Onarga Community, 7-0, in a Vermillion Valley Conference football game. Tim Bassett kicked the extra point.
