50 years ago (1967): A broken thumb has limited quarterback Jerry Kinnikin’s playing time with Illinois State’s once-beaten football team, but his talented toe has made him the Redbirds top scorer with 32 points through seven games, including a near-perfect 20-for-21 on conversion kicks.
