5 years ago (2013): Sade Sealy became the second runner ever to win four straight Missouri Valley Conference titles in the 400-meter dash and ran the anchor leg of the winning 1,600 relay to earn the women’s Most Outstanding Track Athlete at the Valley indoor track and field championships.

25 years ago (1993): Much has been said and written about Derek Grimm, Morton’s 6-foot-9 all-state forward, but it was Morton’s J.R. Koch who looked like the all-stater. Koch, a 6-foot-9 sophomore, scored 29 points, including his team’s first 18, as the Potters defeated Normal Community, 67-58.
