The results of a contracted reorganization feasibility study between Roanoke-Benson District No. 60 and Congerville Eureka Goodfield Dist. 140 will be presented to both boards at a joint meeting to be held later this month. It is scheduled for Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Eureka High School Auditorium.
Midwest Consultants (MC) has been gathering information and analyzing it since September after being contracted jointly by the boards of both districts. The study, which was recently completed, reviewed several different areas of both districts in detail including finances, curriculum, extra-curricular activities, enrollment projections, facilities, transportation and test scores. The company will also show the effects on the districts if they reorganize under different options. MC will also make recommendations based on what they found. However, the results of the study and the company’s recommendations will only be the beginning of a longer, more detailed decision-making process.
The meeting will be open to the public, but there will be no provision for verbal public comment.
