ONE IN FOR THE OTHER

Gene Rossetti (left) recently resigned from the city council and was replaced by Tim Peterson (right).

EUREKA - There is a new member on the city council, as Tim Peterson was seated at the May 7 meeting to replace Gene Rossetti in Ward IV. Rossetti, who resigned due to a move out of the Ward IV, served for three and a half years. During his tenure, Rossetti was instrumental in developing performance management standards, as well as developing ongoing metrics to better track progress during the course of the year.

To honor Rossetti, a paver will be placed at the intersection of Center (U.S. Route 24) and Main (Illinois Route 117) Streets.

Peterson has previously served a liaison between the town and the Congerville Eureka Goodfield Community Youth Recreation Association (CEGCRYA).
