ROANOKE – Jason Forrest Harston, 30, of Tucson, Ariz., died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, in Yuma, Ariz., following an accident.
He was born Aug. 30, 1987, in Bloomington, the son of Myles and Nancy Harston. He married Sidney Todd on March 27, 2010, in Tucson. She survives.
Other survivors include his parents of Roanoke; six sisters, Erika (Jason) Noll, Katilyn (Rob) Prickett, Larissa (Reed) Kannas, Stefanie (David) Arciniega, Natalie (Jerod) Strickland and Christina (Matthew) Jewell; one brother, David (Britt) Harston; mother-in-law, Charlotte Todd; one brother-in-law, Jay Todd; five sisters-in-law, Kendra, Natalie (Dom), Nicolee (Kline), Randi and Tamara and 30 nieces and nephews.
Jason graduated from Roanoke-Benson High School in 2006. He was in the Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Jason served on a mission in the state of California through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He lived in Tucson for nine years. Jason loved people, life and shared that love with others. He leaves behind a legacy with friends from off-roading, mudding, rock crawling, camping, shooting soccer and basketball. Jason taught us all to have fun, explore, roughhouse, express kindness, give generously, stay calm and shed grudges.
Services were held March 7 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tucson. Interment was in Binghampton Cemetery, Tucson.
